FEATURED PAST EVENT
The American Red Cross presents...
THE RED BALL
What: The American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter’s Red Ball will take guests on a
journey of delicious cuisine offered by the Philadelphia region’s best restaurants and caterers. This
“red-tie” gala will be attended by over 1,000 of Greater Philadelphia’s social, community and
business leaders. Features of the evening include a VIP Luxe Lounge, cocktails and
hors d’oeuvres from fine restaurants, dancing to live music, and an unrivaled silent auction and
raffle.

4231 Avenue of the Republic
Philadelphia, PA 19131
www.theredball.org
When: Saturday, March 6, 2010
8:00 p.m. – Midnight
Why: All proceeds from the Red Ball will benefit one of Philadelphia’s greatest community assets,
The Red Cross House. A short-term residence for disaster victims, located in West
Philadelphia, that is the only one of its kind in the country. Last year the Red Cross SEPA chapter:
· Housed 1,146 people at Red Cross House
· Housed 361 families at the Red Cross House
· Responded to 858 disasters
· Served 4,071 people after a disaster
· Trained 96,755 people in disaster of lifesaving skills
These are numbers we cannot ignore. Our goal is to raise $250,000 to help the hundreds of our
neighbors served by The Red Cross House and Red Cross Disaster Relief. Your participation can
demonstrate, in a tangible way, your commitment to our community and good will.
